Last Updated: April 6th, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how The Shed Surrey Ltd ("Busyleo," "we," "our," or "us"), trading as Busyleo, collects, uses, and protects your information when you access our website, software, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

We are a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered office is at The Shed, The Old Bowling Club, Shere Recreation Ground, Upper Street, Shere, England, GU5 9JF.

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.

Information We Collect

Personal Contact Information

When you register for, enquire about, or purchase our Services, we may collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, and postal address.

Billing Information

We use trusted third-party payment processors, including Stripe, to manage billing. We do not store full credit card details on our own servers.

Service Data

When you use the Services, you (and, where applicable, your own customers or contacts) may upload or create information such as contact records, company descriptions, logos, marketing content, and communications ("Service Data"). This data belongs to you, and we process it solely to provide and support the Services. If you use the Services to store or manage information about your own customers or leads, you are responsible for that data as described in "Your Data & Your Responsibilities" in our Terms and Conditions.

Analytics & Technical Data

We automatically collect certain usage information such as IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and actions taken through cookies, web beacons, and analytics tools.

Diagnostic Information

With your permission, we may collect system logs or crash reports to identify and resolve technical issues.

Communications Data

If you contact us by form, email, or phone, we collect the information you provide, including any phone number or business details, so we can respond to your enquiry. We will only use this to contact you about marketing if you separately opt in.

How We Use Your Information

We process your information to:

- Provide, maintain, and improve the Services;

- Administer your account, billing, and subscription;

- Communicate important updates, support, and (with your consent) promotional offers;

- Ensure security and prevent fraud;

- Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

Sharing & Disclosure

Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party vendors who help us deliver the Services, including hosting and platform infrastructure, communications (SMS/email delivery), analytics, and payment processing (Stripe). These providers only process your data on our instructions and are contractually required to keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Marketing & Publicity
We may identify you as a Busyleo customer (e.g., by name and logo) in marketing materials, but only with your prior consent, which you may withdraw at any time by contacting us.

Legal Compliance

We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

Business Transfers

If we undergo a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or asset sale, your information may be transferred to the successor entity, who will continue to be bound by this Policy (or a materially similar one).

Data Hosting & International Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed on secure servers located in the United Kingdom, the United States, and other jurisdictions in which our service providers operate. Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or the EU-US/UK-US Data Privacy Frameworks, to ensure your data receives an equivalent standard of protection under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law.

If you cancel your subscription: your account and Service Data remain accessible to you if you choose to reactivate, we do not automatically delete anything on cancellation. If your account stays cancelled and inactive for an extended period (24 months or more), we reserve the right to archive, anonymise, or delete the associated data, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify you by email beforehand where possible.

If we cease operating Busyleo entirely (rather than an individual account cancelling), the underlying technology platform we rely on to provide the Services will retain account data for up to 90 days following discontinuation, after which it may be permanently deleted.

Billing and transaction records are kept for as long as required by UK tax and accounting law, currently up to 6 years, regardless of account cancellation.

Your Rights

If you are in the UK, EU, or another region with applicable data protection laws, you may have the right to:

- Access, correct, or delete your personal data;

- Restrict or object to our processing of it;

- Request data portability;

- Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent;

Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the UK (ico.org.uk), or your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, personalise your experience, and analyse usage. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser or our cookie banner; some features may not function properly without cookies.

Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
